WCRC: Textile Road between State Road and Michigan Avenue Partially Reopened

As of Wednesday, November 28 the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) and its contractor substantially completed Textile Road from State Road to Campbell Road and Platt Road to Michigan Ave (US-12). These segments are now open to all traffic. The section of Textile Road between Campbell Road and Platt Road remains closed to through traffic and will be closed throughout the winter.

Due to the early onset of colder weather and the impacts of the labor dispute between the Michigan Transportation and Infrastructure Association and the Operating Engineer’s Local 324, WCRC will not complete the entire Textile Road Paving Project this year. WCRC and its contractor will return in the spring to complete the road project and build the Textile-Platt Greenway. WCRC now expects the project to be completed in the summer of 2019.

If you have any questions concerning this work, please contact Mark McCulloch of the WCRC via phone at 734.327.6679, or via email at
