Rain Gardens
In 2012, the township set out to promote sustainable stormwater management and improve the curb appeal of the front yard of the township's Administration Building, where a sizeable depression existed. The low spot retained water run-off and frequently presented as a quasi retention basin. A rain garden was constructed to mitigate the low spot and trees and native plantings were placed to help with the aesthetic, water filtration and carbon sequestration.

Additionally, the rain garden provided a unique and iconic landmark with the distinctive architecture of the township Administration Building complimented by the sweeping design of the rain garden and the mosaic marigold sculpture.
