On April 13, 2016 the Pittsfield Charter Township Board of Trustees approved Resolution #16-21 to apply for grant funding for the Platt Road Greenway Project Phase II (PRG II). The proposed PRG II project will provide, for the first time, non-motorized access from the southern portion of the Township to a northern boundary of Pittsfield Township, connecting into the City of Ann Arbor's network to the north, and the potential to connect to the County's Border To Border (B2B) network to the south and east. PRG II will connect into the existing Platt Road greenway and provide for seamless connection from wall Park (on the south) to Lillie Park) on the north), by away of a ten (10) foot wide paved pathway that also includes two pedestrian crossings: one at the Township Administration Building and another at Wall Park. Public MeetingPittsfield Charter Township hosted a virtual public forum on June 3, 2020 to obtain input regarding the draft design for PRG II. The presentation from that meeting is now available for review.Next StepsThe Washtenaw County Road Commission is working on finalizing the easements and grading permit approval process that is necessary in order to finalize the design plans for the project. | |
