Absentee Voting
With the passage of Proposal 18-3, any voter who wishes to vote by Absent Voter Ballot may do so without providing a reason. You may check the status of your absentee ballot or application by visiting the Michigan Voter Information Center.
How to Apply
All residents requesting to vote by mail must be registered to vote and fill out an application for an Absent Voter Ballot with a valid signature for verification of voter identity. Submit an application online at the Michigan Voter Information Center, print and submit a 2023 Michigan Absent Voter Ballot Application electronically via email to elections@pittsfield-mi.gov, or by mail to:

Photo Identification Required for Absent Voter Ballot Application
Effective March 27, 2013, if a voter requests an Absent Voter Ballot in person at the Clerk’s Office, the voter is required to present a photo ID or sign the Affidavit of Voter not in Possession of Picture Identification form. The list of acceptable ID documents and affidavit form are the same as those required for in-person voter registration and in-person voting on Election Day.
