With the passage of Proposal 18-3, any voter who wishes to vote by Absent Voter Ballot may do so without providing a reason. You may check the status of your Absent Voter Ballot or Application by visiting mi.gov/vote.
How to Apply
All residents requesting to vote by mail must be registered to vote and fill out an application for an Absent Voter Ballot with a valid signature for verification of voter identity. Submit a 2020 Michigan Absent Voter Ballot Application electronically to email@example.com or by mail to:

Automatic Absent Voter ListSubmit the Automatic Absentee Voter Form to be added to the Pittsfield Charter Township Automatic Absent Voter list. Once added to the Automatic Absent Voter List, you will receive your application for an Absent Voter Ballot in the mail approximately 60 days prior to each election. A signed application is required prior to each election prior to being sent a ballot.
Photo Identification Required for Absent Voter Ballot Application
Effective March 27, 2013, if a voter requests an Absent Voter Ballot in person at the Clerk’s Office, the voter is required to present a photo ID or sign the Affidavit of Voter not in Possession of Picture Identification form. The list of acceptable ID documents and affidavit form are the same as those required for in-person voter registration and in-person voting on Election Day.
