Vacation Notification and Property Checks
In the event you are going to away on vacation, please let the Department of Public Safety know, so that we may be prepared for any emergencies at your residence and can conduct property checks as needed. Please complete our vacation notification form and submit it electronically, or by printing and faxing it, by mail, or drop off the form directly at the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety offices at 6227 W. Michigan Avenue Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
Public Safety & Neighborhood Watch Programs
The Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety has developed a number of programs that are designed to increase public safety, community involvement, and partnerships. Some of our programs include crime prevention, fire prevention, neighborhood watch, apartment and condominium watch, and business security. Community Emergency Preparedness
The Washtenaw County Emergency Management Division is working closely with all levels of government and with several non-profit agencies to be ready in the event of any serious impact on the health, safety and welfare of the community. Still, it is extremely important to take responsibility for the safety of your family and to prepare for all emergencies.

Michigan Fireworks Safety Act Guidelines
In 2012, the Michigan Legislators approved the purchase and use of fireworks. The regulations were amended in 2013 to allow local municipalities the ability to limit the use of fireworks before and after certain holidays in compliance with the law.
