23. The Pittsfield Township Police Department is dedicated to improving the quality of policing within our community. When an officer provides exceptional service, the department may formally recognize those efforts. To recommend an officer for commendation, please record, in detail, all information pertinent to the circumstances of the excellent service you observed. Public acknowledgement of a job well done is a positive reinforcement for officer morale, and an important part of the relationship between police and the communities they serve.
